The 2026 Honda Lineup: Innovation, Reliability, and Fuel-Efficient Performance
The 2026 Honda lineup includes the return of the legendary Prelude. This popular two-door hasn’t been seen since 2021, and the 2026 model comes with modern performance features that today’s drivers want, like
- Hybrid 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors
- 200 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque
- All-new Honda S+ Shift system
Honda also redesigned the roomy Passport. For 2026, this family-friendly two-row SUV comes with an off-road-ready suspension and a plethora of new features. Drivers will appreciate the
- Second-generation TrailWatch advanced camera-based technology
- The i-VTM4 AWD system for elevated stability and capability
- Rugged, new boxy exterior style
- Larger 10.2-inch instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
The TrailSport trim became an immediate hit on the larger Honda SUVs, so the automaker will offer the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid with the rugged, all-terrain trim. The compact hybrid SUV will come with features like
- Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control System
- 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires
- Power liftgate
A few other Honda models have received subtle changes to trim levels, styling accents, and technology, as Honda is always modifying its lineup to continue winning awards like the 2026 Best Car Brand from US News and World Report.
What’s in the New 2026 Honda Prelude?
Drivers from the 1980s and 90s will fondly remember the Honda Prelude with its sporty styling and peppy powertrain. The athletic Prelude will soon arrive on dealership lots, and drivers are certain to fall in love, as the new Prelude has many of the favorite features already from the newest award-winning Honda Civic lineup, as well as a few innovative features of its own.
The 2026 Prelude will only be available as a two-door hatchback with a mild-hybrid, continuously variable automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. Drivers will enjoy taking control of the gears with the all-new S+ Shift system and paddle shifters.
On the inside, the Prelude will have a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and a 9.0-inch touchscreen with Google software, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. The interior upholstery will have contrast stitching and colors that differ from those in the Honda Civic.
How Did Honda Change the 2026 Passport?
The Honda Passport received several upgrades for the 2026 model year. The five-passenger SUV gets more horsepower from its 3.5-liter V6 engine. It also gets a new 10-speed automatic transmission with the i-VTM torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system for a smoother ride on the bumpiest terrain.
The redesign includes a wider track and longer wheelbase, along with a ground clearance of 8.3 inches. The suspension changes make the Passport TrailSport models ready for trails and dirt, especially since Honda added extra off-road features like skid plates, all-terrain tires, and drive modes like Sport, Trail, and Tow.
Honda made major changes to the interior of the 2026 Passport. Drivers will quickly notice the standard 10.2-inch instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 5G-LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a new wireless smartphone charger. The off-road-ready daily driver also has a 110-volt power outlet in the TrailSport models and several USB-C ports in all trims.
What’s in the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid TrailSport?
In 2023, Honda redesigned the CR-V, increasing the size of the compact SUV and making it more versatile. For 2026, the automaker is finally offering the CR-V with off-road-ready features in the new TrailSport trim. This trim will only be available in the CR-V Hybrid, adding a fourth trim level to the fuel-efficient model.
The TrailSport trim comes with 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a bold front end with a skid plate accent, and blacked-out exterior trim. On the inside, the CR-V Hybrid TrailSport has the trim logo on the headrests and floor mats.
Honda also added a few new features to the entire CR-V Hybrid lineup. All trims will receive a 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless phone charging and smartphone connectivity. The top trim, the Sport Touring Hybrid, will have 19-inch wheels, and the trims with all-wheel drive will get better traction management for more control in slippery conditions.
